Sprinker Saturday

The first Sprinker Saturday is on for June 15th! I’ve got the inflatable pools, buckets, and water balloons at the ready. Excited for an even bigger party this year!

Rock & Roll Playhouse

Two shows this weekend in Father’s Day. The Tribeca show is pretty special in honor of the film festival but Brooklyn Bowl is always a classic too. Grab tickets here.

Juneteenth Food Festival

With the upcoming Juneteent holiday, there are several historical and cultural festivities over the weekend. I love the idea of this food festival.

Kids in Motion

Kids in Motion organizes free programinng for children with outdoor play. This is the first I’ve heard of this program, but it seems like organized and free camp counselors! There is a long session on Saturday but also more dates throughout the week! Sign up and check it all out here.

Governor’s Island Adventure

Governor’s Island makes an excellent Father’s Day Adventure! If your family can bring their own bikes, I highly recommend the Red Hook Ferry. This one is far less crowded and has enough space for your bikes; it worked perfectly for my massive cargo bike.

This weekend marks the first Fad Market for the summer!

Let your dad hang out in Hammock Grove with a book and take the kid to The Yard. It’s a great playground open 12-4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

If you’ve never been to Governor’s Island, be prepared. It can get hot! Bring sunscreen, hats, and cold water on a sunny day.
